Design-Reptiles: a passion, a vision, a commitment

Since 2010, Design-Reptiles has been passionately breeding rare and demanding reptiles, as well as carefully selected Ball Python morphs. Each breeding project is designed with genetic quality, animal welfare, and lineage stability in mind. We also work with complex or threatened species, following a responsible and dedicated approach.

About Design-Reptiles

The story of Design-Reptiles began long before its official creation.

From a very young age, Tony developed a deep fascination for reptiles. Drawn to their discreet behaviour, their diversity, and their complex biology, he spent years observing, learning, researching, and gradually building true expertise.

In 2010, Tony gave structure to this passion by founding Design-Reptiles, initially as an amateur breeder. He specialised in genetic morphs of Python regius, a species that remains a cornerstone of the breeding programme. This allowed him to develop strong expertise in selection, genetic viability, and stable morph development.

Over time, he broadened his objectives and turned toward more complex species, often overlooked in captivity. He designed dedicated enclosures, selected breeders with precision, and worked deeply on genetics to guarantee healthy, sustainable lines.

In 2020, the breeding operation became a professional structure—strengthening his commitment to rigour, ethics, and animal welfare.
At Design-Reptiles, every species is chosen for a precise reason: taking on a breeding challenge, contributing to ex-situ conservation, or developing stable lines of specific Ball Python mutations.

Tony dedicates much of his work to demanding reptiles, rarely seen in captivity due to their rarity or specific needs. The goal is twofold: contribute to the preservation of these species and offer enthusiasts animals bred with reliability, traceability, and biological respect.

As the years passed, several family members joined the project. All share the same passion and are fully involved in the daily work. This family dimension strengthens the coherence of the breeding operation and ensures constant attention at every stage.

In response to growing demand, we launched our own equipment brand in 2024: by Design-Reptiles.
The goal: address the shortcomings of existing market products through real, tested improvements. We offer only equipment that we use ourselves in our breeding facility, or that comes from brands we genuinely trust.
This project required over a year of testing, field feedback, and development before going online.

Beyond the reptiles themselves, Design-Reptiles embodies a clear breeding philosophy: passionate, technical, honest.
An approach based on quality rather than quantity, selection rather than systematic reproduction, and transparency above all.

Today, Design-Reptiles is recognised for the quality of its bloodlines, the diversity of species offered, and the continuous improvement of its facilities, protocols, and processes.
Whether for demanding hobbyists, experienced enthusiasts, or conservation projects, every reptile we offer is the result of total dedication.
