Les vers Buffalo (Alphitobius laevigatus) sont des larves très nutritives, riches en protéines et en graisses, parfaites pour compléter les besoins alimentaires de nombreux reptiles et insectivores.
Ils sont particulièrement adaptés aux jeunes lézards, amphibiens, geckos nains et autres petits animaux exotiques.
Souvent confondus avec les vers de farine, ils sont toutefois beaucoup plus petits, ce qui les rend plus faciles à digérer et moins intimidants pour les jeunes ou petites espèces.
Une barquette de 50 g contient environ 50 ml de vers Buffalo.
